Raw transcription or clean text: your choice

In Dictate mode you get what you said, punctuated. In Dictate + Format Vokalu also drops the “um”s, applies corrections like “Tuesday, no wait, Wednesday,” and lays the text out for the app you’re in: an email body, a casual chat message, a prompt with file names kept exact. It keeps your words; it doesn’t rewrite them.

Offline when you want it

Private mode runs a speech recognition model on your own computer after a one-time download. Nothing is sent anywhere, it works without internet, and it’s free. Use it everywhere, or only in apps you mark private. What works offline, and what doesn’t.
