Start notes when the meeting starts and stay in the conversation. Vokalu transcribes your microphone and your computer’s audio as two separate sources, and tells the other people on the call apart, so the transcript knows who said what. Nobody has to admit a bot. Jot a few words as you go and the write-up is built around them. When you stop, you get notes organized by topic, with the numbers and names people used and next steps with owners, or the template you picked for sales calls, product reviews, team rituals or interviews. Already recorded the call? Upload the audio or video file instead.
Them: We’re at 25 seats and want 40 before March. Security review has to happen first. Me: I’ll send pricing for 40 by Friday; can you loop in IT this week?
Notes with who was there, the 40 seats and the March deadline, the security review, and next steps with owners. Ask “what does IT need?” afterwards and get the answer from the call.

01
Tell people, then press Start
Open Notes, choose a template, and start. Many places require everyone’s permission to record, so Vokalu reminds you and gives you a message to paste in the chat.
02
Talk like you normally would
Sentences appear as they’re said. If your headset or speakers change mid-call, Vokalu keeps recording; if the connection drops, it catches up afterwards.
03
Stop, and get the write-up
Vokalu writes the notes from the transcript. Rewrite with another template, copy them, or save them as a Markdown file.
Questions worth asking
Does a bot join my meeting?+
No. Vokalu records on your own PC: your microphone and what your computer plays. Nothing joins the call, so there’s no bot for others to admit or notice. You’re responsible for telling participants you’re taking notes.
