ALREADY RECORDED IT? GOOD.

Turn a recording into notes you can use.

Some conversations are already on file: a recorded call, a customer interview, a lecture, a long Discord or WhatsApp voice message. Upload it on the Notes page and Vokalu transcribes it, tells the speakers apart, and writes notes with the template you choose. It works through the file faster than it plays, so you don’t sit through it twice. Vokalu reads the file on your computer and sends only its speech for transcribing; the file itself is never stored.

ONE WAY TO SAY IT
Speaker 1: Thanks for walking me through your setup. What’s the hardest part today? Speaker 2: Honestly, the Friday reports. Exporting them takes our team about two hours every week.

Notes that name the people from context, keep the two hours every Friday, and list the follow-ups. Ask “what were their biggest pain points?” afterwards and get the answer from the recording.

Illustrative example, not a recorded customer result.
01

Pick a template, then Upload a recording

On the Notes page, choose a template such as user interview or meeting notes, select Upload a recording, and pick the file. MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, Ogg, MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM all work, up to 3 hours.

02

Watch the transcript arrive

Sentences appear as each part is transcribed, with the speakers told apart. Need only the first half? Stop early, and the notes cover what’s done.

03

Read, ask, share

Get notes by topic with next steps. Ask the recording questions, rewrite with another template, save it as a file, or share an encrypted link.

Questions worth asking

Is my file uploaded to Vokalu?

No. Vokalu opens the file on your computer and sends only the stretches with speech, about a minute at a time, to be transcribed. Neither the file nor its audio is saved. The transcript and notes are stored on your computer, like a meeting’s.
