When Wispr Flow is worth your attention
Wispr is the stronger candidate when one dictation product needs to follow you between a computer and phone. Its free tier is also a real option, not something to omit from a cost comparison.
When Vokalu fits
Vokalu makes sense when most of your dictation happens on a Windows PC and usage changes from month to month. You can dictate a few replies, pay for those minutes, and leave the app alone for a week without a subscription running.
Run a trial that tells you something
Use the same names, mid-sentence corrections, and long reply in both apps. Then try the apps you use on your phone. A lower Windows bill will not make up for a missing mobile workflow.
Keep track of the time from starting a dictation to having text you would actually send. Include corrections. A fast transcript that needs two minutes of editing may be a worse fit than a slower first result you can use immediately. That is a test to run yourself, not a performance claim about either product.
