Voice typing for Microsoft Teams.

Teams is where quick answers pile up. Dictate them instead: Vokalu types a clean, casual message into the chat box. And when the meeting starts, Notes can write it up from your own computer, without a bot joining the call.

01

Click where you’d type in Microsoft Teams

Vokalu types wherever your cursor is: a message box, a prompt, a document, a comment.

02

Hold the shortcut and talk

Hold Ctrl + Win on Windows or Control + Option on Mac. Correct yourself as you go (“no wait, Friday”); Vokalu keeps only what you meant.

03

Let go, then read it once

The text appears in Microsoft Teams, formatted for it. Check names, numbers and dates before you send anything.

What Vokalu does in Microsoft Teams

Text going into Teams chat is kept casual and concise, with no final period on a single short sentence. For meetings, Vokalu’s Notes records your microphone and your computer’s audio as two sources and tells the other speakers apart.

The Teams app is recognized by name. In a browser, Vokalu recognizes Microsoft Teams from the tab title, so keep the site’s name in it (it is by default). Only the name “Microsoft Teams” is used for formatting; the rest of the title stays on your computer.

Questions worth asking

Does a bot join my Teams meeting?

No. Vokalu records on your own computer: your microphone and what the meeting plays. Nothing joins the call.

Does it work in Teams on the web?

Yes, with “Microsoft Teams” in the tab title, which Teams shows by default.
