Thanks for your patience, I’m dictating replies this week while my wrist recovers, so they might be shorter than usual.

Dictation for the rest of the day
One key, or a mouse button
Rebind dictation to a function key such as F13–F24, or to a middle or side mouse button, so starting needs no chord.
Hands-free mode
Start with the shortcut plus Space and talk without holding keys; press again to finish.
Edit by voice
Select text and use Command Mode to say “shorter” or “fix the grammar” instead of retyping it.
Questions worth asking
Who is the accessibility program for?
People for whom typing is hard: repetitive strain, limited mobility, low vision, dyslexia or another reason. You say so yourself in the app; no proof is asked for.
Can I avoid key chords entirely?
Yes. Single function keys from F1 to F24 and middle or side mouse buttons can be used on their own as the dictation shortcut.
